Llanstinan - Boarding Kennels and Cattery
Kennels & Cattery Open Daily 10am - Midday.
Dog Park Open Daily From 6am

Welcome to Llanstinan Dog Park located on our family run farm in the heart of the scenic Pembrokeshire countryside.

Due to popular demand we have created a park for private hire - our park is fully fenced and contains several enrichment areas for your dog to explore - please treat this facility well and make sure you always adhere to our terms of hire so that you and others can make this park a safe place for everyone to enjoy.

Please note that Llanstinan Dog Park is located adjacent to our existing free run pens provided for guests at our boarding kennels. Between the hours of 8am and Midday and 3.45pm and 5.30pm there may be other dogs visible during your time at the park. If you require no distractions from other dogs then please book between 12.00 and 3.45pm or after 5.30pm.

Dogs must be supervised at all times while using the park - please do not allow your dog to dig the grounds - we have provided digging areas that the dogs can enjoy for this purpose. Owners must take full responsibility at all times for their animals.

We hope that you enjoy your time at Llanstinan Dog Park.

each booking is 45 minutes - the remaining 15 minutes is to clean up and vacate the park

Click on the date and time you require and pay through our secure online payment system.

You will immediately be sent a confirmation email.

We are open from 6am.  Closing times will vary at different times of the year due to lighting and weather conditions.

Not at the moment so if you are visiting out of daylight hours please be sure to bring a torch.

Yes, there is a car park for up to three cars next to the field.

Unfortunately, not – please make sure you go before you set off!

There is a shelter in the field and a water tap in the corner. Please check the forecast a day or two before your session and bring the appropriate clothing.

Up to 6 dogs can be booked onto a field at any one time. If you would like to bring more dogs, please get in touch and we may be able to help.

Remember when in a group it is easy to get chatting, but you must keep an eye on your dogs at all times and pick up their poo as well as being considerate to other users. Please keep your dogs in the car until the previous customers have left.

Please keep an eye on the time and get all of your dogs back in the cars and leave the car park as quickly as possible after your session. Remember a session is 45 minutes long but feel free to book two consecutive sessions in order to spend 1 hour and 45 minutes having a good play.

We use 8 foot fences, a secure coded gate system and CCTV cameras and we ask you to report anything that you feel may cause a security issue.

However, it is still a rural open field space that may have natural features such as hillocks, molehills, streams, puddles, mud, logs and anything else you might find in the great outdoors (apart from other dogs or livestock of course). And although we try hard to fill any holes that may have been dug by dogs, we cannot guarantee that there will not be any, so please be careful, especially outside of daylight hours.

All our fences comply with the standard recommended height for secure dog fields of 8 feet so it is vital that if you think your dog might be capable of jumping over an 8 foot high fence then please do not risk allowing your dog to run free in one of our fields.

You are responsible for your own and your dog’s safety at all times.

Pick it up! It would be fantastic if you could pick up any that you see whether it’s your dog’s poo or not. This keeps it clean for all of us and means that if you miss your own dog doing the deed hopefully someone else will pick it up too. Dog poo bins are provided at the entrance to the field.

Our fields are checked for cleanliness regularly but if you do spot a recurrent problem please let us know through our contact page.

We don’t currently have dog washing facilities so please bring towels or protective covers for your car journey home.

Remember mucky pups are happy pups!

We don't.  By all means bring your own toys for your dog to enjoy but please take these home with you at the end of your session.

Please be aware that the car park is a gravel surface so manoeuvrings a wheelchair may be difficult depending on the type of chair. If you cannot get onto the field please take someone with you to help pick up dog poo and to be able to control your dog/s at all times. Please be aware that due to the nature of the fields we cannot guarantee wheelchair access.

Knowing what the Great British weather is like YES! We recommend you always bring your wellies or boots because even when the sun has been shining there may be areas where it is boggy or muddy.

XL BULLY OWNERS

We can only accept bookings for XL Bullies BEFORE 8am and AFTER 6pm as the dog park is adjacent to our boarding kennels and we do not want to compromise the safety of the boarding dogs.

Our insurer has contacted us to confirm that they will provide insurance cover for banned breeds to use secure dog fields subject to them meeting certain conditions.  These are as follows; (as provided to us by our insurer)

  1. The dog is registered with the index of exempted dog (IED) and a copy of the life certificate is obtained and provided - please email this to us.

  2. A copy of the public liability insurance certificate for the dog is obtained and provided - please email this to us.

  3. If the household has more than 1 dog, they can come to the field together as long as they have a minimum of 1 handler per dog. All dogs leads and muzzles can be removed once in the field including the XL Bully.

If there are dogs from different households, the banned breed will need to remain muzzled and on a lead at all times with a 1:1 handler.

  4. The dog is Neutered – in line with Government Rules

  5. The dog is Micro Chipped

  6. The dog is kept on a lead and muzzled until the gate is shut when entering the field

  7. The dog is put back on a lead and muzzled before opening the gate to leave the field

  8. You can remove the lead and muzzle once inside the secured field

Please close and latch the gate once inside the field as a security measure and as you know we have safety rules that you all agree to within the T&Cs whatever the breed, the most important being to keep all dogs on a lead in the parking areas AT ALL TIMES.

This would also be a good time to reiterate the need for all of our customers to re-read the T&Cs and safety rules which apply to all dogs. These are not only necessary for our insurance but also for the smooth and safe running of the dog park that we all love and enjoy.

If in doubt please contact us.
